About Us
K and C care was founded with by two young teens, Katrine and Corinne, who noticed the large homeless and needy population in the Bay Area, and wanted to help those in need. Both girls participate on ski teams at Lake Tahoe area Ski Resorts. The girls noticed that there were many items of warm clothing left behind in the lost and found at their ski resorts, and they decided to ask their ski resorts if they would donate their Lost and Found items to help clothe the homeless. In 2011, K and C Care was born! Since 2011, 4 Northern California ski resorts: Sugar Bowl, Kirkwood Mountain Resort, Northstar and Heavenly Mountain Resort, have generously donated all or some of their lost and found items to our organization. This has provided a large number of homeless and low income families in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Reno area with warm clothing for the cold days and freezing nights.
Our team is made up entirely of volunteers. We advocate for those who need our help. Even a little help goes a long way.
That is why we are especially happy to find new volunteers who share our commitment to doing good in the world. Do you want to support us by helping with our work? Then do not hesitate to contact us. A helping hand is always greatly appreciated! We are looking for teens who ski at other ski resorts to join our efforts!
